1. How to create quizzes using a text file

Introduction
  • The quiz can be made in a text file.
  • It is very simple to create once you understand procedures!

Please download Template Text (113 downloads) to create your own quiz. The number of quizzes and choices are set by your own.
(Please note that if you have a lot of quizzes, it will take a long time to convert/upload your quiz.)

Template text example

The procedure
Describe the text of the first quiz
Describe the quiz format
Describe the correct answer
Describe the incorrect answer 1
Describe the incorrect answer 2
Describe the incorrect answer 3

Describe the text of the second quiz
Describe the quiz format
Describe the correct answer
Describe the incorrect answer 1
Describe the incorrect answer 2
Describe the incorrect answer 3

The next line of the quiz format is considered to be the “correct answer” and the rest of the answer is considered to be “incorrect answer”.
If you don’t set any option values, the choices are displayed in a random order.
A new line of text should be added before each “quiz” after the second quiz.

*When using the standard Mac text editor, a rich text file is created by default, but QuizGenerator does not support rich text files.
Also, double quotation marks may be automatically converted That may cause problems in the operation.
Therefore, before using the standard-installed TextEditor, open the TextEditor preferences, click on the format “Standard Text” to check.
Then click on the option “Smart Quotes” to uncheck.
Now any new text you create thereafter will be a standard text file.
If you want to convert an existing rich text file into the standard text, open the file and select “Edit” > “Auto-replace” > “Smart Quotes” from the menu and uncheck the box to convert it into standard text.
