1. How to Create a Quiz with a Text File

At First
  • You can create a quiz easy and simple by using a text file

Download Template Text (77 downloads) and create a quiz. You can modify the content for your own way.
(*Note: If the number of quizzes are increase, the conversion tool or uploader will take a longer time to convertc your text file.)

As the format, the next line of the quiz sentence (the one at the top described as an option) is recognized as the correct answer, and the rest is recognized as the wrong answer. If no option value is set, the order of choices will be diplayed in descending order. Also, add a line break before the quiz sentence for the second and subsequent quizzes.

*For reference, we have prepared the a text_file_before_conversion.txt (45 downloads) . To create more detailed text quizzes, please have a look at here.

*Rich text files are created by default when using Text Edit installed on Mac as default, but QuizGenerator does not support the rich text files.
In addition, double quotations would be converted automatically. As a result, the error may occur.
Therefore, before using the default text edit, open the preferences, click “Standard Text” in the format, and click “Smart Quotes” at “Options” to release it.
Now, any new text you create after this will be a standard text file.
If you want to change an existing rich text file to standard one, open the file and select “Edit” > “Auto Replace” > “Samrt Quote” from the menu, and it will be converted to standard text.

Upload Question

Sign in from here. Click “Manage Contents” in the sidebar, and click “Import Quiz” from the operation menu (+ mark) in the upper left.

 

 

Click “Select File” and select the quiz you created. Enter the title and click the “Save” button to complete.

*Notes on Uploading the File

The file size you can upload is up to 30MB. There are three types of files that can be uploaded: text, zip, and csv.
