Message Box

This function allows you to send messages within the learningBOX system.
The recipients that can be selected when creating a new message differ between users with owner administrator/message box management privileges and users without such privileges.

Create a new message

Sign in to learningBOX.

01Open message box

Click on "Message Box" in the side menu.

02Open Create new thread

Click on "Create New Thread."

03Create Thread

Create the following items
When you are finished, click "Create" to complete the process.

▼ Recipient

Select the recipient of the message.
The destinations that can be selected vary depending on the authorization.
*For more information, see Differences by account.".

▼Enable to reply

Select whether or not to allow replies from users who receive messages.

▼Thread Title

Enter a title for the thread.

▼Message Content

Enter the body of the message.

Reply to a message

Sign in with the message recipient's account.

01Check received threads

Open the Message box to see the threads received.

02Open Thread

Click on the received thread to view the detailed contents.

The details of each button are as follows

▼Back

You can be back to the Message box list.

▼ Update

You can reloaded to check for new messages.

▼Numbers

The number to the right of the "Update" button indicates the number of users in the thread.
Click to see the list of users.

▼ Leave

You can leave the thread.
　*If you leave, you will not be able to check or reply to the messages in the thread.

▼ Back

Same as the button written above.

03How to Reply a Message

Enter the message in the input field and click on the "Send" button.
Users participating in a thread can exchange messages by repeating the above operation.

04Threads that do not allow replies

▼ Sender's Screen

Un-tick "Enable to reply."

▼Receiver's Screen

When the setting is valid, receivers can check messages but cannot reply to it.

Differences by Account

Depending on the users' role, choices will be different when creating a new thread.

Admins/Users with Message Box Management Role

The following items will be displayed.

1. Group: Group(s) can be specified witin the role.
2. User: Users are selectable within the role.
3. Admin: Owner admin and user(s) with the roles for the group or in the above hierarchy will be selectable.
*Multiple items cannot be selected.
4. learningBOX Developpers: You can send a message to us.

For users with no roles

Messages can only be sent to the admin.

Note

Check thread/user list

If the thread is under the owner you belong to, you can see the thread and the list of users.
*Messages cannot be sent to threads in which you have not participated. You can only view them.

Ban

Users can be forced to leave a thread from the user list regardless of their participation.
*The operators, the owner admin and users who have been granted Message box management role for all users cannot be forced to leave the system.
