How to set up a live feed in learningBOX
By using the "iframe" in Content Management in conjunction with the "Vimeo" video streaming website service, online classes can be set up within learningBOX.
Vimeo is a service that allows users to share and watch videos, similar to YouTube and Nico Nico Douga.
In this issue, we will discuss how to distribute live video with the public scope set to a specific domain.
In this article, we will proceed on the assumption that you have already signed up for Vimeo's paid plan (Premium).
Premium plan is required to set up live video. Please note that "Plus, Pro, and Business plans" are not able to distribute live video.
How to use Vimeo
1. Log in with the account that subscribed to Vimeo's Premium plan. Enter your email address/password and click "Login with email address".
2. Click on "Live Events" in the side menu.
*When distributing videos on Vimeo, you basically create and edit videos from the side menu.
3. The screen will switch to "Create Live Event" to set up the video viewing.
4. Video viewing settings allow you to set video distribution dates and publication restrictions.
After completing the settings, click "Next" at the end.
5. Set the publication range to a specific domain on the following screen.
6. Open the "Embed" tab and select "Specific Domain" in the "Embed Privacy" pull-down.
7. After setting up the domain, click the "+" icon.
8. Click on "Embed Code for Event" and copy the embed code for the video.
9. Once the Vimeo settings are complete, the next step is to set up the learningBOX side.
Open the Content Management screen and click on Courses.
In the upper left corner of the screen, select the "+" icon > "Teaching Materials" > "iframe".
10. Enter a title, enter the code you copied in the Embed Code field, and save.
11. After completing the learningBOX settings, return to the Vimeo settings screen and click "Start Live Streaming".
When clicked, the iframe material you have just set up will be reflected in the video and you will be able to view the live video feed.
12. confirm viewing at the domain level.
