I'll think about it again. What is study?

Study is important.

I don't think anyone would disagree with this.
In today's age of 100 years of life and rapid change, it is necessary to continue studying even as an adult.
So, what is "study" in the first place? I thought about it again.

According to "Kojien" (6th edition)

(1) To work diligently.
To learn a subject or skill. To learn by gaining various experiences. To learn through various experiences.
(3) To sell a product at a reasonable price. (4) "I'll give you a discount.

This is the case.

Three kinds of meanings have been mentioned, but I would like to talk about (1) and (2) this time.
First.
(1) "Work with all your might.
This is simply put.I'll try my hardest. That's what I mean. Next.
(2) To learn a subject or skill. To learn by gaining various experiences. (3) To learn through various experiences.
I say"Going to school, learning lessons, new employees learning their jobs.Image.
Both meanings are in the same sense that we usually use them.

What do you study for?

Why do I have to study?

Everyone has thought about it at one time or another, haven't they?
If you are a child or a student, there are likely to be many reasons such as "because it will be a problem when I grow up", "for further education", or "because I can't get a job if I don't study".
For adults, there are reasons such as "because I need it for work" or "to get a qualification". Other reasons include "to make my dream come true" and "to enjoy my hobby more".
The above reasons have something in common, although the words are different.

That is to say,To grow beyond who I am now, to live a better, more enjoyable life. That's what I mean.

When you are a child, you are probably given reasons by adults rather than your own will. On the other hand, those who are able to continue studying as adults may have many spontaneous reasons. (It's hard to do when someone tells you to, isn't it?) Also, there are many seniors who have curiosity and challenge various things even though they are older. In this way, the more spontaneous the study, the more positive and wonderful the reason is.

Studying is a luxury!

I'm talking about the title here.In the first place, don't you think you are very fortunate to be in a situation and environment where you can study?

It is an extreme example, but if you are at war or being attacked by a natural disaster, you will not be able to study, right?
Philosophy developed in ancient Greece because the city of Athens had enormous power in the region, and there was peace and time to spare. In other words, I was bored.(You've heard of Plato, Socrates, Aristotle, etc., haven't you?)

Also, if your family is poor and you can't afford to eat, you can say, "Don't go to school, get a job! If your family is poor and you are having trouble eating, you can say, "Don't go to school, get a job!
In Japan during the high growth period just after the war, workers with a junior high school education were called "golden eggs" and that was the norm. Since then, as Japan's economy has grown, the rate of students entering high school & college has risen steadily.
In today's world, you may think that "going to a cram school" or "going to a high school" is a normal thing, but of course there are costs involved. Usually, students go to school with the money that their parents worked hard for, but I think it is not a cheap price.

2016 Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Survey of Children's Learning Expensesaccording to (someone)
"The annual cost of studying at a public high school (full-time) is about 451,000 yen. This is the case.
Based on the above, we are very fortunate to be able to study andluxuryI can say that it is the most important thing.

There are countless ways to study now.

It is such a luxury to study, but today there are many ways to do it, not just going to school.
However, it's hard for busy working people to go to class after work. So, is there any better way?

So we want to make good use of the"E-learning,, will be one of the solutions for employees both at home and abroad.
With the spread of computers, smartphones and tablets, it has become much easier than ever before to use them. If you use "e-learning" well, you can make use of the gap time such as waiting time or traveling time on the train, and study efficiently.
