Thank you for your continued patronage.
We are writing to inform you of a bug that causes the OS to be determined as "Linux" when using Chrome (version 143 or higher) on an Android tablet (for details, please refer to the following page). hereCorrections have been made with regard to the following

In conjunction with the modification, some Android tablets may not be able to determine the OS version (e.g., Android 14/15/16), which will be announced as a specification change.

*This modified version will be applied sequentially to customers using dedicated servers.

Contents of correction/improvement (before/after)

Before the response
When using Chrome (version 143 or higher) on an Android tablet, the device OS was determined to be "Linux" and the following functions were notified and controlled as "not recommended devices".

Check for OS and browser compatibility at login (page settings after login)
Restrictions on the operating system used when learning content

[After support].
Fixed a bug in the OS determination process.
In addition, the judgment logic has been improved so that even if the OS is determined to be "Linux," it will be treated as an Android tablet (Android (tablet)) (*However, the judgment may be unstable in some environments).

This will resolve the issue of notifications appearing outside of the recommended device on Android tablets.

■Changed specifications (OS version may not be determined)

Due to this modification, some Android tablets/Chrome (version 143 or higher) may not be able to determine and record the OS version in some environments.
*The OS version may be determined and recorded as before depending on the device and environment.

■Possible Impact
On Android tablets, control by OS version conditions may not work as intended.
(This mainly affects the check of supported OS and browsers when logging in.)

Example: Even if "Android OS 16 or higher" is specified, you may be able to log in without getting a notification that your device is not recommended, even if it is actually an Android OS 14 device.

■ Request to Managers
If you are controlling by "version specification" of Android OS, there is a possibility that Android tablet cannot be controlled as intended. Please consider reviewing your configuration policy if necessary.
