Rewrite your own program to SCORM material and use it in the learning box.

Rewrite your own program into SCORM material and use it in learningBOX! Hello, this is Morishita of the Development Department. I am Morishita of the Development Department. In this paper, I would like to show you how to implement a program for "Hundred Maths Calculation" as SCORM teaching materials on learningBOX. I was able to implement the program even though I have only just learned JavaScript, so if you read this paper, you will be able to reproduce it immediately if you have written simple programs before. Let's publish your one-of-a-kind program on learningBOX! The SCORM-compliant description has been introduced in the previous article "Let's make SCORM teaching materials", but this time I would like to implement something a little more teaching material-like (?). This time, we would like to implement something a little more like an educational material. Click here to see the table of contents. How to upload your own program 2. how to check the operation of SCORM teaching materials 3. making SCORM materials 4. summary How to upload your own program We have prepared a simple "Hundred Cells Calculator" program for implementing SCORM teaching materials. Download this program "[download id="30640" template="HundredCellsCalc.zip"]" and check its actual operation on learningBOX. This program is based on the code here, with grading and timer functions added. Vue is used to generate the tables. Here are the files to be prepared for creating and implementing SCORM materials. Here are the files to be prepared index.html index.js style.css Please prepare these three files. When uploading, save the necessary files as a single zip file. The html file must be named "index.html". If you use a different name, an error screen will appear and you will not be able to study. You can upload the file [HundredCellsCalc.zip] as it is. Confirm the operation of the SCORM teaching materials After learning the Hundred Cells Calculator, click the "Submit" button to send the results. The learning status of the teaching materials will change to "Pass" or "Fail". I can see that the grades show the score and time left in addition to the learning status. The administrator will also be able to check the user's course history on the grade management page and download grade data in CSV format. For more information about grade management, please check the grade management page here. In this case, the data to be sent to the LMS at the end of the course are "score," "time," and "learning status (pass/fail). If you are interested, please refer to the Japanese version of the SCORM specification from the Japan E-Learning Consortium. Creating SCORM materials Let's take a look at the features of the actual SCORM code. The following three processes were added to the program to make the SCORM version of the 100-meter grid. ☑Add function init to search and initialize the API. (index.js) ☑Add an onload event to execute the function init when the page is loaded. (index.html) ☑Add function sendResult to send data to LMS after study is finished. (index.js) ☑Add function sendResult to send data to LMS after the study is finished. This time, we have three types of data to be sent to the LMS at the end of the study: score, time, and study status (pass or fail). Each, 'cmi.core.score.raw' 'cmi.core.session_time' 'cmi.core.lesson_status' but there are a few caveats when sending data. When setting a value in 'cmi.core.score.raw', it must be a string type (numbers cannot be sent) The initial value of 'cmi.core.session_time' should be '00:00:00 Only six strings can be set in 'cmi.core.lesson_status': 'passed', 'completed', 'failed', 'incomplete', 'browsed', and 'not attempted'. In this program, the data is saved in the LMS when the final sendResult() is executed. ▼ Below is the process we have added to make it compatible with SCORM materials. (i) (index.js) function init to search and initialize API Here, 'browsed' is set as the initial value of the learning status, but it will be set to 'passed' or 'failed' after learning is completed. (ii) (index.html) onload event to execute init() when the page is loaded (iii) (index.js) function sendResult to send data to LMS after study is finished Score (numerical value) is vue.score, learning status is vue.lesson_status, and time is timer.textContent. vue.score is set to a string before being set. LMSCommit finalizes the retention of the value (LMSFinish, which terminates communication with the LMS, includes the same behavior). Conclusion Although the SCORM specification may seem complicated and difficult to understand, learningBOX is a SCORM 1.2-compliant LMS, and by writing code to send learning data to the LMS, users can use it as a learning material. If you are already using learningBOX for in-house training or at school sites, or if you want your users to use your own programming materials, please give it a try. It will also be useful when you want your users to see what you have created in your programming studies. Although learningBOX has several content features, there are still many teaching materials that are difficult to realize with existing content. (Regarding learning contents) For example, it would be very attractive if there were learning materials with puzzle games, board games, or RPG elements, such as ones in which the question text itself changes randomly each time a question is presented, or ones in which the user directly manipulates the screen. If you can create such learning materials by yourself or find the source code, you can register them as SCORM learning materials in learningBOX. We call them "teaching materials" for convenience, but of course, even if they are "games", they are essentially the same. If you know simple JavaScript code, you only need to rewrite it a little to be compatible with SCORM, and you can use it with learningBOX (free of charge, of course). Thank you for reading this paper as well.
National Nursing Examination - eLearning Learning

I passed the national nursing exam in one go! How to prepare for the national exam using e-learning learning

Pass the National Nursing Examination in one shot! What is the national exam preparation using e-learning study! This is Kitaoka 🍎, our marketing manager. It's almost time for the national exam! In this article, we would like to introduce a study method using our e-learning system (learningBOX) to help you prepare for the National Nursing Examination. The nursing license is one of the most popular and in-demand national qualifications in the medical field! For those in charge of education at universities and vocational schools that are focusing on training nurses, and for teachers who are worried about the passing rate of the national exam, our learningBOX allows you to study outside of class time, as well as in your spare time, to "effectively and efficiently" prepare for the national exam. You can use our learningBOX not only outside of class time, but also in your spare time. We also offer learning tools specialized for memorization and quiz creation tools that can be used as repetitive learning to understand and consolidate what you have learned. The question creation tool allows you to easily create and publish questions for the web-based exam. Thank you very much for your cooperation. Click here for the Table of Contents 1. difficulty level and trends of the national nursing examination 2. challenges and concerns in preparing for the national exam 3. how to prepare for the national exam using the learningBOX content features 4. summary The difficulty level and trend of the National Nursing Examination ▼ Click here for the passing status of the 108th National Nursing Examination. The 108th National Nursing Examination was held on Sunday, February 17, 2019, with 64,153 applicants, 63,603 examinees, and 56,767 successful applicants, for a pass rate of 89.3% (91.0% last year). Of these, 58,622 new graduates applied, 58,308 took the exam, and 55,216 passed, for a pass rate of 94.7% (compared to 96.3% last year). ▼ Click here for 2019 pass rates. Here is a chart showing the National Nursing Examination and the pass rate for the past 10 years. In this way, it looks like a relatively low difficulty exam, passing in around 90%. ....... In fact, there is a secret to this pass rate. ☑POINT If you look at the breakdown of those who passed, the pass rate for new graduates is 94.71 TP2T, while the pass rate for graduates is 29.31 TP2T! Yes, the pass rate appears to be high because new graduates account for more than 90% of the applicants. *The pass rate alone gives the illusion that the exam is easy to get through in terms of difficulty, but once you fail the national exam, the probability of passing the next national exam becomes even lower. Therefore, it is very important to have a learning method and a learning environment that will allow you to get a passing grade the first time! Issues and concerns in preparing for the national exam We have already discussed that the pass rate is higher for new graduates who take the national exam immediately after learning specialized content at school. So, what is the actual study period for new graduates? Let's check the annual schedule of nursing students. ▼ Nursing students' annual, schedule In the third year, clinical training is the main focus. Students spend more than half a year at the hospital or facility where they are practicing, learning communication skills through practical skills instruction, chart writing, and patient care assistance. Even after the practical training is over, students will continue to be busy with case reports, nursing research, graduation exams, and other activities even after the practical training visits are over. Students are usually able to concentrate on studying for the national examinations from December onward, and it is a common practice for students to prepare for the national examinations with a packed schedule. The study curriculum schedule is inevitably a short-term battle. The scope of the National Examination and passing criteria are here. The scope of the examination consists of three types of questions: "compulsory questions," "general questions," and "situational questions. The detailed contents are as follows. Passing Criteria The National Nursing Examination consists of 240 questions with a maximum score of 300 points. In order to pass, the following two conditions must be met ☑ Answer correctly at least 80% of the "required questions ☑Fulfill the year's criteria for "General Questions + Situational Questions". The compulsory questions are allotted 50 points out of 300 points, which is 1 point per question. Since 80% of the total number of points is for the compulsory questions, if you do not score more than 40 points (answer more than 40 questions correctly), you will fail the exam at that point, even if you got a perfect score for the General and Situational Setting questions. The situational questions are worth 2 points per question, and the passing standard for these questions fluctuates each year. This is because the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare adjusts the number of successful applicants based on the supply-demand ratio of nurses. As you can see, it is necessary to prepare well for the exam in order to pass. However, neither teachers nor learners can easily spend all their time preparing for the exam. Let's take a look at their respective concerns. ▼ Issues and problems faced by teachers in preparing for the national examinations In recent years, exam questions have been changing to reflect more clinical situations. Behind this trend, we can see the intention of the examiners to have those who have an essential understanding of what they have learned and who truly have aptitude as nurses pass the exam, rather than those who are just trying to learn a few tricks. It is a red herring to think, "Let's just get by by rote memorization." The study required to pass the upcoming national nursing examination is as close as possible to the study required to become a nurse who can work in the field. So what can we do? How can you prepare for the exam efficiently and effectively with limited time? The solution to this problem is "e-learning" and the learningBOX! Here are some of the ways to prepare for the national examinations using the content features of learningBOX! Click here to see how to prepare for the national exam using the memorization cards. ▼This is a very useful learning tool for contents, keywords, and memorized materials that are frequently asked in the national examinations. We have made a sample of memorization cards that could be used to prepare for the national exam. Please use them for your reference only. Click on the following items to activate the player and see how it works. Memorization cards about hormones Memorization cards for swallowing Memorization cards for muscles and nerves Memorization cards related to pediatrics Memorization cards can be created as text files. Once created, they can be easily converted to a web-based memorization card application. You can also check which words you have memorized and how much you have accomplished. You can also insert images into the memory cards. You can find more information on how to create a memorization card on the CardGenerator website. ▼ The quiz function is useful for repetitive learning of past questions! ⇒Try the quiz! You can solve it from here. You can create your own quizzes and publish them on the web in 12 different formats. You can also embed images, videos, and explanations. Links can also be set up so that users can be redirected to a specific location (page). Other detailed settings such as time limits, passing scores, and shuffling of quiz choices can also be configured to suit each application. Please refer to the optional items list page for a wide variety of optional functions. Clicking on the following items will activate the player and allow you to check the web questions. Required Question Basic Nursing Adult Nursing Geriatric Nursing Pediatric Nursing Psychiatric Nursing ▼ The quiz function allows learners to train their application skills by dividing the study by year or by subject, or by changing the format of the questions. Another key point is that students can easily study at their own pace outside of school study time. Repetition with e-learning study is effective for memory retention, correct answer rate on quizzes, and review of comprehension aspects! Quizzes can be created in one of three ways: question creation form, text file, or Excel. Quizzes can be embedded in a website, and when linked to the e-learning system (learningBOX), quizzes can be saved and edited, and members' grades can be managed in detail and in detail. The quiz creation process is described in detail on the "How to Create a Quiz" page of QuizGenerator. Summary With ▼learningBOX, you can manage all your memorization cards and quizzes! In this article, we have introduced the national exam preparation using the content function of learningBOX. With our e-learning system, you can conduct your national exam preparation on the web in addition to your study time at school. In this article, we mainly told you about the memorization card and quiz functions. Both of these functions can be used to create and publish teaching materials by simply reading and copying a few manuals. Created teaching materials can be imported directly into our e-learning system (learningBOX) and managed. learningBOX is an e-learning system that even first-time users can use with confidence. How to create and add SCORM materials using TensorFlow.js

Happy New Year! I am Yokoyama🐈, a developer. I look forward to working with you in the New Year! This time, I would like to introduce an article titled "Using TensorFlow.js to add a problem to judge handwriting in learningBOX. Originally, SCORM requires imsmanifest.xml, a file that defines the structure of the teaching material, but learningBOX can be registered without imsmanifest.xml. Click here for the table of contents 1. try to add a question to judge handwritten characters 2. what is SCORM? What is TensorFlow.js? 4. summary Let's try adding a problem to determine handwriting. Seeing is believing, so first watch this video! The numbers displayed on the screen are input by handwritten letters. The question is to determine if the entered letters are correct or incorrect. This problem is running as a SCORM teaching material on the actual learningBOX! This is made using SCORM and TensorFlow.js. We will explain in turn. What is SCORM? SCORM is a standard in e-learning. SCORM is an e-learning standard that defines specifications for combining learning materials with an LMS (Learning Management System). In Japan, the Japan e-Learning Consortium certifies LMSs and content, as well as SCORM-related qualifications. Since learningBOX is a SCORM-compliant LMS, grades and other information can be saved as long as the materials are SCORM-compliant. Since this question was also created in accordance with SCORM, the grades are saved in learningBOX. If you want to know more about SCORM, check out this article! ▼For more information, click here. What is TensorFlow.js? TensorFlow is an open source machine learning library developed by Google Inc. The JavaScript version of this library is TensorFlow.js. This time, we used TensorFlow.js for a simple task of judging handwritten numbers. Please understand that I am a beginner in machine learning, so I may not be very good at some things 🙇. If you are interested in trying out these questions, please download the zip file. Please download the ZIP file, register it in learningBOX, and upload it as a SCORM teaching material! *This problem has been tested with Google Chrome. Reference: Load MNIST-trained model with TensorFlow.js for handwriting recognition in a browser Conclusion In this article, we have introduced a simple but effective way to create and add SCORM teaching materials. Originally, SCORM requires a file called imsmanifext.xml that defines the structure of the material, but learningBOX can be used without imsmanifest.xml. LearningBOX is a SCORM-compliant LMS, so grades and other information can be saved as long as the material is SCORM-compliant. Since this question was created in accordance with SCORM, the grades are saved in the learningBOX. This time, the content was simple, judging a handwritten number, but with application, a wide variety of SCORM teaching materials can be created.

Causes and countermeasures for logging out of Excel when linking from Excel

When I step on a link from Word or Excel, for some reason I am taken to the login screen. We have also had this problem with learningBOX in the past, but it was resolved in version 2.8.9. We are now disclosing the cause and countermeasure for this problem in case other systems are also suffering from the same problem. Click here to see the table of contents. 1. symptoms 2. causes 2. countermeasures 3. why was it discovered in the first place? 4. are all the web apps out there coping with it? Symptoms While logged in to a certain system, when I open a URL in the system from Word or Excel, I am redirected to the login screen. Since the user is already logged in, we would like to have the URL in the system opened directly. Cause In Word or Excel, when you click on a link, Word or Excel sends a request to that link address; Word or Excel receives a response that redirects you to the login page because you are not logged in to the linked site. This redirect URL is passed to the web browser, which causes a transition to the login page. Countermeasures When a request for the post-login page is received from Word or Excel, do not perform redirect processing. By doing so, the specified URL is passed to the web browser as is, and the post-login page can be opened. In the figure above, it is enough to change the processing at point (2). If you are using PHP, you can use the following code to handle this issue. exit may have side effects, so please terminate the process in accordance with your framework's style. If you return an empty document with a status code of 200, it is almost OK. How was it discovered in the first place? One of our customers distributes URLs for educational materials via Excel, and for some reason, when he steps on the link, he is taken to the login screen. Since there is no special exception handling only when opening from Excel, we investigated the cause of the problem by referring to the web server logs, etc., and found that the problem was caused by strange behavior of Office. Are all the web apps in the world coping with this? As of January 14, 2020, Gmail and Slack have been addressed, but there are many services that everyone knows about that have not been addressed. This is not so much a problem on the web application side as it is a problem with the behavior of Office, but it can be easily handled using the method described above, so please consider taking action.

The person in charge of training is worried: "I don't have time to conduct group training for all the participants. We don't have the budget to conduct training every time. The level of knowledge acquisition varies from employee to employee. We have conducted major training programs, but as time goes by, the knowledge fades and it takes time for it to take root. We want to solve the problems of those in charge with e-learning! But ...... Concerns about operational aspects I am not familiar with computer-related knowledge or electronic devices. I am not confident about creating training materials and setting up the content I want to use for training. Concerns about price The price is too high, and I cannot afford to spend a large amount of money. I am afraid to purchase a product or service that is difficult to see what is inside. Concerns about ease of use If there is a difference in usability among different age groups, it will be difficult for the company to introduce and manage the service. Can anyone, not just a few people, manage the system? There are many people who are interested in e-learning learning, but who reject or are uncomfortable with computer operation and setting methods. In addition to that, they tilt their heads at the high price of e-learning systems, and their enthusiasm for introducing e-learning cools down. The main issue was the cost and time required for the paper-based examinations, which require participants to travel to Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, and other locations from all over Japan for a one- to two-hour exam. The main objective of the project was to reduce the transportation cost and time required for the test. Motivation Switch Group, Inc. uses learningBOX for training exams The fact that learningBOX allows us to take the exams as many times as we want has been very well received by the participants. The training exams that we conduct are not designed to drop students, but to help them understand and consolidate their knowledge quickly, so by using learningBOX, they are able to build on themselves and reach a level of understanding. Also, the time it takes for students to pass the exam has become very short. 8 months was the average before the introduction of learningBOX, but now, it's only 2.1 months. ......... ➡Check out the case study here for more information. Nippon Kotsu Corporation uses learningBOX for new employee training Since the introduction of learningBOX, I feel that the overall understanding has deepened when I talk with the new recruits. Then, every time they have a question, they call us and we go over it in detail and explain it to them. Then we would lightly spend 30 minutes on the phone. This process has been replaced by a conversation that begins with "I looked at the Web" or "I checked the e-learning program," which has considerably shortened the time spent on the phone. Even if we exchange e-mails, we can communicate with each other with some prior knowledge, so it saves time and effort for both parties. .........➡Continue reading this case study A person in charge of e-learning implementation is having a hard time getting his/her head around the introduction of e-learning! learningBOX - size and size of video files

How large are the video files when creating e-learning materials?

Regarding the size of video files when creating e-learning materials I am Nagai🎮 of Quality Control, suffering from a cold that is not completely gone. This time, I would like to share with you a question that we have received many inquiries from our customers: "When uploading e-learning materials, how long is a video file and how much space does it take? This article is an explanation and a small piece of information in response to this question. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Click here for Table of Contents 1. what is a video file 2. how to calculate a video file 3. how to upload a video file to learningBOX 4. summary What is a video file? A video file uses the same principle as a flip book to show a series of still images one after the other to make the picture appear to be moving. A single video file contains a number of image files, and the file size naturally becomes large. The size (capacity) of a video file depends mainly on the numerical values of factors such as bit rate, resolution, codec, etc. Let's take a look at each of these factors in detail. Let's take a look at them one by one in detail. Relationship between file size and image quality Bit rate This is a unit of rate at which data is transferred. In simple terms, it is a unit that expresses "how much data can be transferred. The higher the bit rate number, the higher the image quality and the larger the video file size. Resolution Resolution is a numerical value that expresses the density of pixels in a video. In digital video, it is expressed as "a collection of very small colored dots (pixels). The unit of "dpi" or "ppi" is used. The higher the resolution, the higher the density of dots, and the smaller the resolution, the smaller the video capacity. Codec A codec is a device or software that performs the encoding (compression) and decoding (playback) of data. Handling large-sized videos uncompressed requires large memory, hard disks, etc., or compressing the video capacity to reduce its size. POINT Generally, to improve video quality, it is necessary to increase the resolution (fineness) of the video, and to increase the resolution of the video, it is necessary to increase the file size of the video. In particular, the size of the bit rate, which represents the file size per second of video, will greatly affect the quality of the image. However, if the bit rate is too large, the performance of the communication line and terminal will be greatly burdened when the video is transmitted over the Internet, causing the video to not play smoothly. Video File Calculation Method You can calculate how much the file size of a video file will be. The data capacity is calculated as follows. ▷Here is the calculation formula Video bit rate x length (seconds) ÷ 8 (convert bits to bytes) Since the amount of data per second is the bit rate, multiplying the time and converting it to bytes will give you the video file size. Exercise For a 10-minute video at 2.5 Mbps, what is the file size? →2.5Mbps × 600 (seconds) ÷ 8 = 187.5MB (megabytes) ▼Here is a quick table on video capacity. Please use it as a guide when uploading your video. The actual capacity may go up or down slightly when audio is added, but this will give you a rough idea of the capacity of your video. How to upload a video file to learningBOX When uploading a video file, the size of the file may vary depending on the settings used at the time of shooting and the performance of the equipment used at the time of shooting. You can check the capacity of the video file by right-clicking ➡ Properties. Click here to see how to check the capacity of your video file. We will show you how to upload videos using YouTube. In this article, we will show you how to upload a YouTube video using video content provided free of charge by the "IPA (Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan)". STEP3: Paste the title name and the embed code of the YouTube video. With these steps, you can easily register YouTube videos. How to upload YouTube videos to learningBOX! If you want to check YouTube videos from the learning screen, don't forget to set the material assignment for the folder containing the YouTube videos! This setting is often forgotten. If not set, the folder will not appear on the learning screen. Please be careful. You can upload videos taken with your phone, PC, or video camera! Please login to learningBOX as before and go to the contents management screen ➡ ⊕ button ➡ Video. Conclusion In this article, we have briefly explained the relationship between video file size and image quality. We believe that many people want to use video for education and training.
